Richard Fishman is an interdisciplinary artist who has been exhibiting work since 1962. His current practice encompasses work in sculpture and 2-D mixed media. As Director of the Creative Arts Council and Professor of Visual Art at Brown University, he facilitates innovative research into the creative process. He earned his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and his MFA from Tulane University. Among his many professional achievements, he has been awarded both the Guggenheim and Howard fellowships.
